These Terms and Conditions govern the use of Carogene's website and the booking of our wedding car rental services. By enquiring about or engaging our services, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully before proceeding with a booking.
References to "Carogene", "we", "us", or "our" mean the business operating under that name at 56 Jalan Wong Ah Fook, 80000 Johor Bahru, Johor, Malaysia. References to "you" or "the client" mean the individual making the enquiry or booking.

1. Bookings & Confirmation
All bookings must be made in advance by contacting Carogene directly via phone or the enquiry form on our website. A booking is not considered confirmed until you have received written confirmation from us and a deposit has been received.
We reserve the right to decline any booking at our discretion. Availability is subject to change until a booking is formally confirmed.
2. Payments
A deposit is required at the time of confirmation to secure your booking date. The remaining balance is due no later than seven days prior to the wedding date, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Payment arrangements, including deposit amount and accepted payment methods, will be communicated at the time of booking confirmation. All prices are quoted in Malaysian Ringgit (MYR).
Failure to complete payment by the agreed deadline may result in the booking being released. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you before taking that step.
3. Cancellations & Changes
Cancellations by the client
If you need to cancel your booking, please notify us in writing as early as possible. Cancellation fees may apply depending on how far in advance notice is given:
- More than 60 days before the wedding date: deposit may be retained to cover administrative costs
- 30 to 60 days before the wedding date: up to 50% of the total booking value may be charged
- Less than 30 days before the wedding date: the full booking value may be retained
We will always aim to work reasonably with clients who face genuine and unexpected circumstances. Please contact us to discuss your situation.
Changes by the client
Requests to change the wedding date, venues, or service package will be accommodated where possible, subject to availability and any cost adjustments. Please give us as much notice as you can.
Cancellations by Carogene
In the unlikely event that we must cancel a confirmed booking, we will provide you with as much notice as possible and arrange a full refund of any amounts paid. We will also endeavour to assist you in finding alternative arrangements where we are able to.
4. Service Scope
The service provided under each package is as described on our website and in any written confirmation sent to you. Specific inclusions for each package are:
- Single-Vehicle Ceremony Drive: One vehicle, one formally attired driver, floral motifs coordinated with the wedding palette, and a planned route covering home, ceremony, and reception venues.
- Two-Vehicle Wedding Pair: Two coordinated vehicles, two drivers, matching floral decorations, and an advance route briefing.
- Premium Wedding Convoy: Four vehicles including a head vehicle and family cars, a route walkthrough, a standby contingency vehicle, and end-of-evening drop-offs.
Services outside of what is described in your confirmed package are not included unless agreed in writing. Additional requests may be accommodated where feasible and may be subject to additional charges.
5. Client Responsibilities
To allow us to deliver our services effectively, we ask that you:
- Provide accurate and complete information about the wedding date, venues, and schedule at the time of booking
- Notify us promptly of any changes to the itinerary, venues, or timing
- Ensure that the bridal party and family members are ready at the agreed times
- Treat our drivers and vehicles with reasonable care and respect
We cannot be held responsible for delays or disruptions arising from inaccurate information or insufficient notice of changes.
6. Vehicles & Drivers
All vehicles used in our services are maintained to a road-worthy standard and are prepared and decorated in advance of the wedding day. Our drivers are experienced professionals who present themselves in formal attire.
We reserve the right to substitute a vehicle of equivalent or higher standard in the event of an unforeseen mechanical issue. We will inform you of any such changes as promptly as possible.
Passengers are expected to behave responsibly inside the vehicles. Any damage caused by passengers to vehicles or floral decorations during the service may result in a reasonable charge for repair or replacement.
7. Delays & Circumstances
We take punctuality seriously and plan routes carefully in advance. However, delays may occasionally arise due to road conditions, traffic incidents, weather, or other factors outside our control.
In cases of unavoidable delay, our drivers will communicate with you or a nominated contact as quickly as possible. We are not liable for consequential losses or disruption to the wedding programme caused by delays beyond our reasonable control.
8. Liability
Carogene's liability under these Terms is limited to the value of the services booked. We are not responsible for any indirect or consequential losses arising from the provision of, or failure to provide, our services.
Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for matters that cannot be excluded by law, including personal injury arising from our negligence.
9. Intellectual Property
All content on this website, including text, photography, and design, belongs to Carogene or its content suppliers. You may not reproduce, redistribute, or adapt any content from this site without prior written consent.
10. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia.
11. Amendments
We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be published on this page with an updated date. The version in effect at the time of your booking confirmation will apply to your booking unless you are notified otherwise.
